Surrealism: Desire Unbound

Tate Modern

Exhibition design at Tate Modern
The ‘Surrealism: Desire Unbound’ exhibition was designed for Tate Modern by MJP in a collaboration with Jocasta Innes as colour consultant and Rogier van der Heide as lighting consultant. The curator was Jennifer Mundy.

Coloured walls and coloured light
Wall colours and lighting colours were carefully selected and combined to dramatise the narrative and significance of the works. The colours of display lighting and ambient lighting were controlled with coloured gel filters.
