MJP’s Durham Millennium City Project was chosen as one of the case studies in the English Heritage publication Shared Interest : Celebrating Investment in the Historic Environment – a celebration of England’s best heritage-led development schemes. Each case study showed that with imagination and skill, old buildings can be given a new and positive future. They demonstrate how English Heritage has helped developers realise financially successful schemes of distinction and popular acclaim. The commentaries on these schemes reveal themes that are key to successful development in the historic environment.
A scar of the 1960s has been healed and welcome new services provided in the city centre.
