10 Crown Place, London

MJP’s 10 Crown Place office development at Clifton Street, London was featured in David Bennett’s book ‘The Art of Precast Concrete’ (Birkhauser, 2005), p.102-107

The office buiding … at the corner of Crown Place …has been designed as a modern reinterpretation of the 19th century warehouses which are typical for the surrounding conservation area. The arrangement of paired columns and beams in fine precast concrete, of a quality resembling Portland stone, together with slender intermediate stainless steel columns, follows the elevational composition of many of the building’s older neighbours which are built in brick, stone and cast iron. The facade is strongly modulated by projecting glass bays which sit within the precast concrete frame.
